LEGAL ASSISTANTS
Grainne Smyth – Legal Assistant
Grainne joined the practice in June 2023. She is living in Ennis, Co. Clare for a number of years but is from Limerick. She is responsible for all matters front of house. She understands how stressful it can be to deal with many legal problems and will endeavour to help all clients when taking that first step of seeking legal advice with a friendly manner.
Grainne received a Medical Secretarial Diploma in 2012 and she has extensive experience having worked as a Legal Secretary for over 8 years in legal firms in Limerick. Grainne will do her utmost to refer you on to the correct person to deal with all your legal needs.
Linda McGee – Accounts Administrator
Linda is from Limerick and joined the practice as Accounts Administrator in 2020. Linda has extensive experience including as an Assistant Manager in the banking sector where she worked for 24 years with AIB and PTSB.
She has over 12 years Business Administration and Accounts experience in both the private and education sectors.
Prior to joining Carmody and Company, Linda worked with another legal practice in Limerick for a number of years In addition to administering the accounts function, Linda is responsible for ensuring complete compliance with all Law Society regulations in terms of GDPR and AML requirements.
Lydia Byrne – Legal Assistant
A native of Blackrock in Dublin, Lydia relocated to County Clare in 2007.
After completing a Photography and Media Studies course, Lydia commenced working in Pearts Solicitors, one of the largest legal agencies in Ireland, as a Law Clerk. She regularly attended at the Four Courts, preparing and filing various legal documents and attending court.
In 2007 after moving to Tulla, Lydia commenced work with Michael Houlihan and Partners Solicitors, now MHP Sellors LLP in Ennis, as a Legal Secretary, working in the litigation department for 16 years and she has gained vast experience in all areas of litigation.
Lydia joined us here in Carmody and Company in September of this year. We are delighted to have her.
